IGP calls for an interim report over the alleged assault on 17 year old student and Father of one who were arrested over Seya's killing
The Inspector General of Police has ordered an Interim report by the 7th of this month on the Investigations carried out in to the complaints lodged by 2 individuals who were arrested and later released over the killing of the 5 year old girl in Kotadeniyawa.
The inquiry is being carried out under the supervision of the Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Pujith Jayasundara.
Police media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that attention will be drawn towards the arrest of the 17 year old boy in connection with the murder and also look in to the alleged assault on both the student and the Father of one while in custody.
The suspect arrested yesterday in connection with Seya Sedewmi’s murder who is the brother of the main suspect Dunesh Priyashantha, alias Kondaya is still been questioned.
However, Police media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that investigations are still continuing in to the murder.
