World Bank says aid to Sri Lanka will be increased

The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have stated that they would extend their fullest support to Sri Lanka’s Economic Development.

Discussions have been held between officials of the two bodies and Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake on the sidelines of the Annual Summit of the World Bank and IMF in Lima in Peru.

Meanwhile, the IMF has assured to extend technical assistance required to further expedite economic development in Sri Lanka.
