China states that they are willing to give every support for the development of Sri Lanka. Liu Zhenmin, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs in Japan said this at a discussion with President Maithripala Sirisena. The President acknowledged the Chinese Minister for China’s support at the Geneva Summit. The Chinese delegate had said that they consider Sri Lanka a highly significant country in South Asia. The Chinese projects implemented in Sri Lanka were discussed as well as the importance of re-commencing the second step of the Hambanthota harbor.
