Central Cultural Fund Director General Professor Prishaantha Gunawardhana says that 40 graves about 3000 years old have been discovered during excavations carried out in the Dambulla, Ibbankatuwa archaeological grounds.

Responding to a query by our news team the Professor said that human ash and jewelry were recovered from these graves.
