The three customs officers who were arrested by the Bribery Commission yesterday while accepting a bribe of 125 million rupees have been remanded until October 30th by the Colombo Magistrate Courts.

This is the largest ever recorded bribe nabbed by the Commission to Investigate Allegation of Bribery or Corruption.

The officials were arrested yesterday, when they were accepting a bribe for a transaction, pertaining to the procurement of vehicle spare parts for the Sri Lanka Transport Board.
