A senior spokesman of the Paddy Marketing Board said that there is no necessity to pay a surcharge for using the Mattala Airport to store paddy.

During a visit to the Mattala Airport, Minister of Transport Nimal Siripala de Silva said yesterday that he would take action to charge the Paddy Marketing Board for the losses incurred due to the storage of paddy at the airport premises.
