Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says the Attorney General has not obstructed investigations carried out by the Criminal Investigations Department over the Avant Garde arms ship.

In response to a question raised by Chief Opposition Whip Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Parliament this afternoon Premier Wickremesinghe said necessary action will be taken following the conclusion of the investigation.

When MP Manusha Nanayakkara tried to intervene, PM Ranil Wickramasinghe stated this issue got nothing to do with Galle and there are some MP’s wanted Ministerial portfolios, yet they were denied.
