Police prepares to go to Supreme Court against Kondaya’s lawyers

Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera said that steps had been taken to go to the Supreme Court for taking legal action with regard to the charges the lawyers of Dunesh Priyashaantha alias Kondaya had leveled against police at a media briefing convened by his lawyers.

Participating at a media briefing held yesterday the police media spokesman said that this action would be taken with regard to several other matters and the statement made at a media briefing recently held jointly by Dunesh Priyashaantha and his lawyers to the effect that there was no court case against Dunesh in any court.  

On this occasion the police media spokesman said further that the police department refutes the statements made with regard to the violations of human rights of the arrested suspects.
