Wild elephant kills a beggar woman in Sigiriya

Police have commenced investigations into an incident in which a woman has died following a wild elephant attack in Inamaluwa-teak forest in Sigiriya yesterday (29).

The departed was recognized as a beggar woman who frequented the area.

Her remains are placed at the mortuary of Dambulla Hospital.

Police are conducting further investigations in this regard.
