Wimal Weerawansa writes to the President
The NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa, in a letter to President Maithreepala Sirisena has requested to divulge the six reports prepared by specialists with regard to the Maxwell Paranagama Commission.
MP Weerawansa stated that serious allegations have been made against the security forces of this country by the report presented by the UNHRC Commissioner in Geneva to Sri Lanka recently.
He also said that the Darusman report has also made such baseless allegations against the security forces of this country.
The six specialists’ reports have proved the allegations in the Darusman report baseless.
The MP states therefore the evidences, arguments, observations, and recommendations in these reports should be logically put in order and presented to the international community.
He further requested the president to consider this as a basic responsibility of the recently called All Party Conference, and put it before the world.
