National Police commission seeks public support to determine the truth about the HNDA incident

The National Police commission has requested the support of the public regarding information about the assault on HNDA students.

Information can be  submitted to a committee appointed by the Police Commission during the next  2 days.

  

Meanwhile, The Minister of Higher Education and Highways Lakshman Kiriella said that his ministry is in possession of a  baton that was used by a policeman to assault HNDA students.

The minister disclosed these facts during a press briefing organized at the parliament complex yesterday.

Meanwhile addressing the media conference, Cabinet spokesman and Minister Rajitha Senarathna said the Cabinet has approved recognition of  the Higher National Diploma in Accountancy course as being equivalent to the level of a degree in Commerce.
