The suspects were on two cash bails each amounting to one million rupees.  In addition, the suspects were banned to go overseas and ordered to appear before the Police Terrorism Prevention Division on Each Sunday every fortnight.

However the suspects were taken back to Prison as nobody was present in Court to follow through with bail proceedings, furthermore an order was made that they be remanded until 24th of November .

The lawyers who appeared on behalf of the suspects have informed Court that the Attorney General’s Department had instructed to apply for bail.

However our Court reporter stated that the Terrorism Investigation Division had not received such notice from the Attorney General’s Department.

The suspects blamed  TNA MPs and the government for the confusion.

Expressing his views to the media, coordinator of the National Movement to free Political Prisoners, Father N. Sathyavail said that it is the responsibility of the President to release the suspects.
