The Attorney General’s (AG’s) Department a short while ago informed the Court of Appeal (CA) that the Police Terrorist Investigations Division (TID) have commenced an investigation on the activities on former LTTE International Wing Leader Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP.

This was informed by Attorney General’s Department when the application for a writ of mandamus filed by Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) was taken up for hearing by the Court of Appeal this morning.

Court ordered the Attorney General Department to report of its progress on the next day of hearing, and postponed the case for February 3, 2016.
