Eight LTTE suspects detained by the Terrorism Investigation Division were released on bail today.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Aruni Atigala released the suspects on two personal bails of one million rupees each.

With the eight LTTE suspects released today, a total of 39 suspects have been released to date.

The Magistrate has prohibited the suspects from leaving the country, and ordered them to report to the Terrorism Investigation Division fortnightly.

Attorney-at-law and TNA MP, M.A. Sumandiran who appeared for the suspects said that over 100 LTTE suspects, who are still in prison, would like to undergo  rehabilitation.

Eight more LTTE suspects Bailed Out


Colombo Additional Magistrate today granted bail for 8 more LTTE suspects, who were detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, sources states.

They were released on two sureties of Rs. one million each. Furthermore, they were ordered to confirm their permanent addresses. They were further ordered to inform the court if there was any change in their permanent addresses.

They were also restricted from traveling abroad.
