President Maithreepala Sirisena confirmed that two Cabinet papers will be presented tomorrow for ministry approval.

One of the Cabinet papers is to abolish the Executive Presidency while the other is to introduce a new electoral system.

The President announced this during a ceremony held at Temple Trees this morning , where dual citizenship certificates were presented to 2000 Sri Lankan expatriates.

Addressing the gathering, prime Minster Ranil Wickremesinghe invited all Sri Lankans who left the country due to political reasons, to return home.

President Maithreepala Sirisena says that two special Cabinet papers will be presented tomorrow for ministry approval.

One of the Cabinet papers is to abolish the Executive Presidency while the other is to introduce a new electoral system.

The President announced this during a ceremony held at Temple Trees this morning where dual citizenship certificates were being presented.

Addressing the gathering, prime Minster Ranil Wickremesinghe said that it is the collective responsibility of all Sri Lankans to contribute towards the development of the country irrespective of petty differences.
