Inspector General of Police, Mr. N. K. Illangakoon left the Island on 01.11.2015 to participate in the Annual International Police Conference which was held in Ruwanda recently.

Heads of the police representing many countries participated in this meeting during in which an agreement was signed between IGP, Mr. N. K. Illangakoon and the Secretary General of Interpol Mr. Jurgen Stock at Kigali city of Ruwanda on 04.11.2015.

The objective of this agreement was to facilitate the officers of the Interpol and the Law Enforcing Officers engaged in cross border investigations to obtain emergency visas by accepting the special travel permit issued by the Interpol.
