The joint opposition will move a no-confidence motion against finance minister Ravi Karunanayake, says Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila.

The reason for moving the motion is that he has falsely reported to parliament that six per cent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) would be allocated for education through budget 2016, stated the Parliamentarian.

The no-confidence motion will be moved within the coming week, he added.
