The Inter University Students Federation handed over a letter to the IGP charging that a group of doctors who did not renew their registration with the Medical Council are practicing at Neville Fernando hospital in Malabe.

IUSF Convener Lahiru Weerasekera told the media that the doctor who treated Venerable Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thera is also among that panel of doctors.

When our news team contacted the registrar of the Sri Lanka Medical Council Dr. Terrance de Silva said doctors should renew their registration after every five years before practicing in hospitals.
