GCE Ordinary level examination begins today

The GCE Ordinary Level Examination 2015 will commence today at 4,670 examination centres countrywide.

According to Examinations Department sources, 664 thousand 715 candidates, which is the largest ever number of candidates, will sit the examination this year.

This is an increase of 87 thousand 128 candidates sitting for the exam when compared to last year.

Over 41 thousand invigilators will be on duty for the examination.

The Examinations Department advises the candidates to be present at the relevant examination centres in advance due to adverse weather conditions.
