Electric vehicles tariff increased for a correction

Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake says that the tariff for electric motor vehicles was introduced to bring about a correction in the motor vehicle tariff system.  

At a special media briefing held at parliamentary complex yesterday the Finance Minister said that the electric motor vehicle tariff must not be viewed as unfair.

On this occasion Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said that although there are those who would criticize and object to this increase, they make no mention of the subsequent decrease in Japanese motor vehicle price.
