LTTE suspects out on bail, have their property released

Colombo Additional Magistrate Aruni Aatigala ordered police today to return the personal property of LTTE suspects who were released on bail, if the property was no relevance to the respective cases.


39 LTTE suspects held under the Prevention of Terrorism Act were released on bail recently.


Meanwhile the case in connection with the murder of former MP Nadarajah Raviraj was taken for hearing today before Colombo Additional Magistrate Nirosha Fernando.


Three seamen have been arrested in connection with the Raviraj murder and, arrest warrants have been issued for three other suspects.


However the Magistrate decided to hear the case in absentia as the other three suspects are still absconding.
