Thajudeen Case: court wants report on CCTV footage within 14 days

The Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peries stated today that the death of former Ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen is indeed suspicious and therefore a decision on the case will be announced after receiving other relevant reports.

The Additional Magistrate ordered the Sri Lanka Medical Council to submit a report to Court on the former Colombo Judicial Medical Officer who performed the post mortem.

The Magistrate ordered that an analytical report on the relevant CCTV video footage be submitted within two weeks.

The Magistrate also ordered that an inquiry into the background of police officers who carried out investigation be conducted as well.
