Two people were killed when a car collided with Fort bound train from Puttalam at Ja-Ela, Kapuwatte railway crossing in Ragama this morning, area residents states.

They said 42-year-old driver and another passenger aged 24 were killed in the tragedy. Police said the car had tried to cross the railway line despite the signal light and the railway gate was closed.
