Need a Diplomatic reshuffle - PM

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe told parliament this morning that the Foreign Service should be streamlined.

In response to a question asked, the Premier said that the government is compelled to call back certain officers from their missions and explain the policies of the current government.

Heads of eight ministries including Plantation Industry, Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure and Internal Affairs are being discussed during the committee level debate in parliament today.
