No evidence to continue case against Keheliya - PRECIFAC

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) states that there is no enough evidence to take action against Former Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwela.

This was stated when the hearing resumed again for the incident regarding the nonpayment of fee for the advertisement aired on Independence Television Network (ITN) during the recently concluded Presidential Elections on behalf of Ex-president Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The Ex-president Mahinda Rajapaksha also was present again today at the PRECIFAC regarding the above matter.

A higher official of the commission stated that evidence was taken from the lady officer of ITN who designed the advertisement as well as from the former chairman of the ITN Rosmand Senarathna. Former Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwela also was present at the commission.
