Priyankara Jayarathne to get another ministry

Government sources say it is most likely that Piyankara Jayaratne will be sworn in as local government State Minister before President Maitripala Sirisena tomorrow.

Currently Piyankara Jayaratne serves as the state minister of Law and Peace.

Karunaratne Paranavitana who served as Deputy Local Government Minister  previously took his oaths before the President as deputy minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Mass Media on 4th this month.

Sources connected to the SLFP said that in addition, three more SLFP MPs would be offered Ministry posts in the near future.

Accordingly MPs Manuusha Nanayakkara, Geethaa Kumarasinghe and Lakshman Seneviratne will thus receive State and Deputy Ministry posts.

SLFP sources said that accordingly these MPs would be sworn in, in their the respective Ministry posts  during the first week of 2016.
