As the annual Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak) Pilgrim season begins on ‘Unduwap’ Poya Day and a number of pilgrims arrive in Hatton town, the Public Health Inspectors carried out some raids in certain outlets and bakeries in Hatton town today morning (December 21).

During the raid, the officers detected bakeries where bakery food items, unsuitable for consumption, were sold.

The officers stated that legal action will be taken against the errant traders, who provide unhygienic food to the people.
