Fatalities Mount In Road Accidents In SL

Police headquarters state that 2666 persons have died in vehicle accidents within this year.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in charge of Traffic and Highway Security Amarasiri Senaratna stated to HIRU News that 968 of them were motor cyclists.

Adding further DIG Amarasiri Senaratna stated that within the first 19 days in December legal actions were taken against around 54,093 drivers in the Western Province for Violating Traffic line rules.
