A dialogue is continuing in the political field these days about a rift within the Tamil National Alliance.

One of the latest developments is the formation of a new political alliance titled Tamil People Council with the patronage of Northern Provincial Chief Minster C.V. Vigneswaran.

Nothern Provincial Chief Minister’s faction stated that the aim of the new alliance is to settle problems of the Tamil population without delay.

E.P.R.L.F. leader Suresh Premachandran requested Ilangai Tamil Arasu Kachchi leader Mawai Senadhirajah to join in the new alliance.

Mawai Senadhirajah said there is no need to join another alternative political force as TNA has taken necessary action to settle problems of the Tamil population.
