"One philosophy of a religion should not suppress another religious philosophy" - MS

President Maithripala Sirisena says the government will ensure all religious ideologies of the country are protected.

Speaking at a function held in Negombo, President Sirisena said one philosophy of a religion should not suppress another religious philosophy.

The President during the event stated there is nothing more beneficial than great religious philosophies to heal the society that is failing due to the commercialization.

The President said it is the duty of every citizen to work towards the betterment of the society by utilizing one’s knowledge and experience.

The President said the public should not work for personal development alone.
