Report of Unemployed Graduates Handed over to PM

The Committee appointed for studying the problems faced by unemployed graduates has decided to submit a report including the methodology for solving their problems to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe (PM).

The committee appointed headed by National Policy and Economic Affairs State Minister Niroshan Perera held a discussion with the Combined Unemployed Graduates’ Association yesterday.

At the discussion it was decided to submit the report to the Prime Minister.

Accordingly the report will be submitted to the Prime Minister after he returns to the island in January first week on concluding his current foreign visit.

State Minister Niroshan Perera said that subsequently a stable methodology for solving the unemployed graduates’ problems would be formulated after discussing with the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile the Combined Unemployed Graduates’ Association said yesterday that at the discussion held with the members of the committee appointed by the Prime Minister it was possible to reach a consensus on most of their demands.
