LG polls are postponed due to internal crises - JVP

Tuesday, 29 December 2015 - 13:04

The JVP charges that the government is postponing the Local Government Election due to its internal crisis.

Addressing a media conference held in Colombo this morning, party general secretary Tilvin Silva said that his party is totally against the postponement of Local Government polls.

There appears to be a contradicting stance held by the president and the premier. It is evident that a final decision regarding the local government polls has not been made.
