A wild elephant has put people in Siribopura area at risk as it has attacked the area to eat garbage.

Motorcycles and trishaws were at a bigger risk when the ‘single elephant’ has enjoyed a meal of garbage at Siribopura, located in Mattala- H’tota road.

The villagers state that a herd of elephants are used to approach the area to eat garbage but only this single elephant behaves violent.

Wild elephants approach villages freely as the electric fence around the garbage spot doesn't function.

Authorities have paid deaf ears to villagers’ request to renovate it.
