ISLAMIC STATE (ISIS) is running a sophisticated training academy where jihadist are being trained to down passenger airliners with rockets and carry out sophisticated bomb attacks on European cities, foreign media reports.
Isis scientists and weapons experts have developed sophisticated new weaponry capable of shooting down passenger jets, it has been revealed.
Newly emerged footage shows militants at the group's Syrian base in Raqqa creating a homemade thermal battery, for use in decommissioned military surface-to-air missiles.
Experts say terror groups have had access to such weapons for decades - but storing them and creating the thermal battery vital to the missile's function is very difficult without advanced knowledge.
The warped terror group has managed to recommission thousands of old warheads and has even developed driverless cars designed to outwit sensors used to guard military and Government buildings from bomb attacks.
ISIS has a huge stockpile of decades old surface-to-air missiles seized from Iraqi and Syrian compounds which could be capable of downing warplanes and passenger jets mid-flight.
Until now they had been thought unusable by the terror group because they lacked the advanced thermal batteries needed to power the missile parts, reportedly.
