Final+rights+of+the+Ambilipitiya+youth+held+peacefully
The last rites Sumith Prasanna, who died during a clash between the police during a party in Embilipitiya, was held at the Ambilipitiya cemetery this afternoon.
 
It was revealed that the youth from Ambilipitiya died of multiple injuries after falling from an upstairs house during a clash between party organizers and the police.
 
This was disclosed during the post mortem held at Ratnapura Base hospital.
 
The Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission has decided to conduct an investigation into the incident as well.
   
Subsequent to the incident, 21 policemen including the OIC of Ambilipitiya Police station were also transferred.
 
Meanwhile, All the liquor shops in Embilipitiya town have been closed until tomorrow morning, following an order issued by the Embilipitiya Divisional Secretariat.
 
The order was issued following a request made by the Embilipitiya police.
