Gathering public opinion for the new constitution starts in Colombo from the 18th

The Chairman of the committee appointed to gather public opinion on the new Constitution, Attorney-at-law Lal Wijenayake stated that the committee will begin its work on January 18th.

Addressing a media conference held in Colombo today, Wijenayake said that the committee will visit all 25 districts.

  

He also stated that the closing date for opinions to be submitted is March 31st.

  

Wijenayake said that any citizen can submit his or her opinion and that the public has the freedom to express opinions without limitations.
