DIG+U.K.+Dissanayake+further+remanded

Former Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Vavuniya U.K. Dissanayake who was in remand custody on charges of aiding and abetting a treasure hunt in Vavuniya was further remanded till the 2nd of February 2016.

Another Officer-In-Charge (OIC) was also remanded with the former DIG.

He was produced in the Vavuniya Magistrate’s Court today. Magistrate V. Lenin Kumar ordered to remand him until the 2nd of February 2016.

Further hearings were fixed for this date.
