Pilleyan+re-remanded

The Police today(13) re-remanded former Chief Minister of the Eastern Province Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pilleyan for 14 days on the orders of Batticaloa Magistrate N.M. Abdullah.

He was brought from Colombo and was presented before the Batticaloa court on December 02, 2015.

The CID arrested Pilleyan on November 06 over allegedly murdering former Parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingham’s while he was attending the Christmas Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Batticaloa on 25th December 2012.
