Army media spokesperson Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera reaffirmed that there is no truth in the news that the Military Intelligence Corps camp at Giritale was (3 MIC) was fully sealed.

Brigadier Jayaweera stated that several offices in the 3 MIC at Giritale were sealed by the Military Police on the instruction of Army Commander Crishantha de Silva yesterday.

This has been to provide conditions conducive the investigation into the disappearance of journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda.

Homagama Magistrate has ordered the Army Commander to submit 14 documents maintained by the camp in connection to the incident.

The court has further declared that the Army Commander could be charged if he did not cooperate with probe into the disappearance of Ekneligoda.
