A protest was held against the President and the Prime Minister’s scheduled visit to Jaffna to participate in the Thaipongal festival this year.

While hoisting black flags in front of the Jaffna Bus Stand, the protestors charged that the current government has not fulfilled its duties and is holding a tamasha of this nature.

TNA Northern Provincial Councilors M.K. Sivajilingam and Anandi Shashidaran also participated.
