The Negombo High Court Judge Champa Janaki Rajarathna ordered today to hear the Kotadeniyawa Seya Sadevmi murder Case on a daily basis with effect from January 25th.

 

The main suspect of this murder Saman Jayalath has been indicted and the Judge ordered the Court Registrar to issue summons on the 30 witnesses.

 

Seya Sadevmi was abducted and killed on September 12th last year.

 

The Police arrested a 17 year old student, a neighbour and the brother of the main suspect, Dunesh Priyashantha alias Kondaya.

 

However, the DNA sample of Saman Jayalath matched the particles obtained from the body of the victim. 

 

Subsequently, the Attorney General indicted the accused on November 23rd and the main suspect Saman Jayalath confessed to the crime.
