IGP+to+complete+3%2C276+Police+vacancies

The Inspector General of Police has informed the Secretary of the Ministry of Law and Order that permission will be obtained to take necessary measures to fulfil 3,276 vacancies of various ranks of the Sri Lanka Police.

521 Police inspectors, 52 Female Police inspectors, 1,861 Police Sergeants and 567 female Police Sergeant Positions have been left vacant.

The Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that 275 posts of Police Drivers are also vacant. The request was made in order to ensure service requirements.

The vacancies will be fulfilled according to seniority of eligible police officers.
