A Mother and Daughter were killed when a car driven by an underage boy ran over them in the Dematagoda- Mount Mary area yesterday.


The police media spokespersons office noted that the victims were a 47 year old mother and her daughter aged 10 who were attempting to cross the road, around 8.45 pm last night on baseline road. 

 
Police added that the driver of the vehicle was a 15 year old boy who fled the scene immediately and was subsequently arrested by the Dematagoda police.
