PM heads to Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe left the island today to attend the 46th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The WEF Annual Meeting 2016 begins tomorrow, on the 20th through to the 23rd, with the participation of over 40 heads of state and 2500 economists.

This is the first time that a Sri Lankan political leader has been invited to attend the Davos meeting.

Ministers Ravi Karunanayake and Malik Samarawickrema will accompany the Prime Minister on this tour.

Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said Sri Lanka will also hold a road show in Davos, alongside the WEF annual meeting.
