An individual was killed after being assaulted in Werathuduwa, Meetiyagoda. Police stated that the victim was assaulted with the use of a club, by a person diagnosed with mental illness.

The victim was a 38 year old.

Police noted that the suspect has been sent to the Angoda mental hospital.
