Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, who is attending the 46th annual meeting of World Economic Forum in Davos, said Sri Lanka's economy needs restructuring as the country is short of foreign exchange earnings and balance of payments cannot be corrected.

He also said that Sri Lanka will go ahead with the Chinese-funded Colombo Port City project and invites Chinese investors to Sri Lanka.

Meeting with leaders of large scale multinational companies, the Prime Minister elaborated on investment opportunities in the island under the present administration, based on good governance practices.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet Chairman of Microsoft International Jean Philippe.
