Former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa was summoned once again today, to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate Serious Acts of Fraud and Corruption.
This was regarding the discrepancies in connection to the Rakna Lanka security service.
This Rajapaksa’s 8th visit to the commission.
In addition the owner who rented out the ships named Kandy and Avant-Garde for the Avant-Garde Company appeared before the commission today as well.
Providing evidence Mohammed Riza, noted that each ship was rented out for a sum of 5000 dollars and 5500 dollars respectively.
Meanwhile, former first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa is to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on the 25th of January.
This is regarding the allegations in which, under the previous regime Milinda Ratnayaka, the media coordinating officer for Shiranthi Rajapaksa was provided with a house belonging to the national housing development authority below the stipulated price.
It was revealed that a house valued at a price of 5.5 million rupees was offered to Ratnayaka for 500 thousand rupees.
