TNA leader R. Sambandan and Ilangai Tamil Arasu party leader Mawai Senadhirajah participated in this meeting which was 8 hours long.
Ilangai Tamil Arasu party MP M.A. Sumandiran said that the new constitution, local government polls and finding a political solution were discussed during the meeting.
Meanwhile TNA Northern Provincial Council Chairman C.V.K. Sivagnanam told Hiru news that the view of the majority TNA members is that power cannot be dissolved within a unitary state.
At the same time a group of relatives of missing persons staged a protest in front of the venue where a party coordinating committee meeting was held in Kilinochchi to discuss the issues.
Later Opposition Leader R. Sampandan promised the protestors that the issues would be presented and discussed in parliament.
The TNA coordinating committee meeting started during which time the Northern Provincial Council chief minister C.V. Wigneswaran’s new party was discussed in length.
