Former chairman of the Ceylinco Group and business tycoon Lalith Kotalawala arrived today before the Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry for the first time.
At present, he is making a statement at the Massive Fraud and Corruption Commission with regard to misappropriation connected to building project in Colpetty.
Meanwhile wife of former president Shiranthi Rajapaksa was scheduled to appear before the Special Presidential Commission today as well.
However the former first lady’s lawyers have requested that the Commission grant her a rescheduled date.
Shiranthi Rajapaksa has been summoned to the Commission following a complaint that a house of 5.5 million rupees belonging to the Housing Development Authority was sold to a close associate for a mere 5 hundred thousand rupees in 2013.
