Police investigates on a 7.5 million rupee fraud committed by Ex-deputy Minister Victor Anthony, upon a complaint received by the office of the Inspector General of Police by a victim.

Victor Anthony has promised to provide job placements in New Zealand for individuals from North Western province and Kaluthara district.

A personal secretary of ex-deputy minister has collected money from the victims as advised by him.

The investigations have found that the suspect has charged 346,000 rupees from 18 individuals in Puttalam, Kalpitiya, Chilaw and Kalutara while one resident of Anamaduwa has been charged with 1,360,000 rupees.
